If I don't post for a couple days--yeah, it is because I cheated! Of course, I did that LAST Tuesday but it has been a busy week. Can you believe the first month of 2010 is already gone? So here is my stats:
Day 13 269.2 (Thought my cheating only cost me .8 but think again!
Day 14 269.6 (hmmm, maybe I shouldn't have eaten that!) another + .4
Finally--3 days after cheating!!!
Day 15 266!!!! -3.6
Day 16 265.4 - .6
day 17 (TODAY) 263.8 -1.6 Total: 23.5
I get to do measurements later tonight or tomorrow morning. I get excited about those! Pounds are great to lose but I like fitting into my older clothes and I know I have lost some!
So here is my tip for anyone else doing the HCG drops:
YES we are allowed to have one protein, one vegetable and one fruit in our meal. BUT they should not be put on top of crust with a ton of cheese --called PIZZA! Then after you make a mistake and eat not 1 but 2 pieces--don't think "Oh what the heck" and eat three (or 6??) yummy fresh baked cookies that your mom brought over for the kids!!!!
It's okay--I am still smiling! Hope you are too!

Only lost 6 ounces in 2 days!
Day 10
268.4
-.06
I have to say, I was a little disappointed when I woke up this morning and weighed! Especially since I didn't lose anything yesterday. I guess that is the problem when the first week of dieting you have your biggest weight loss which is normal but I would of rather took it a pound a day or something like that. Of course, I say that TODAY but I was quite happy when I lost it last week!
So I am beginning to recheck what I am doing wrong, if anything. I realize my body may just be adjusting but I wanted to double check so I decided to find out if the foods I was eating was over the 500 calorie mark. I looked up an online calorie counter and found that the food I ate yesterday was about 554.
My mistake I made there was cocktail sauce with the shrimp. I don't know if I had a full serving or not but I can have 14 medium shrimp and so I am sure I did. That alone is 60 calories!!! I didn't realize how many calories was in it and thought it was okay because there was no sugar on the label. Not too sure if I will like my shrimp plain--maybe with lemon???
So I usually eat the same thing everyday--
Get up have a big glass of herbal tea at 6:30
Do drops at 8:00 and sometimes have 4 or 5 fat free crackers (44-60 calories)
Then I am lazy and usually go back to bed for an hour or so.....
Get back up ***well it is almost 9 now and so I haven't gone back to sleep yet LOL! But usually,
Get up about 10:30 and in the next half hour take the drops and drink more herbal tea.
Lunch I have a bed of lettuce (12 calories) shredded up chicken (124 calories) and the strawberries and juice (45 calories) **I take the strawberries and cut them up --then sprinkle with the stevia and pour lemon juice over them! It draws out the juice and makes a type of dressing for the salad.
Sometimes if I get hungry I may use my second set of crackers here (44 cal) or a piece of fruit
Around 4 or 5 ish take the last set of drops and either have
14 medium shrimp (90 calories) with a tomotoe (33 calories)
or I have done the 1 whole egg with 3 egg whites (didn't look that one up yet)
Later if I am still hungry before bedtime (later hours of the night--9ish) then I will eat the crackers or the fruit whichever one I didn't eat before.
As for the water, I must say I am struggling with that! I drink like maybe 16 oz of water and the rest of it is herbal tea. I started putting lemon juice in it yesterday and actually got in a little more. I need to work on that this week and see if it helps.
Hopefully I will lose something tomorrow!

Wow--it is already Tuesday NIGHT!
I had full intentions of getting on and posting yesterday but that never happened! I did have a loss of -2.4 pounds yesterday and then this morning I stayed exactly the same.
I was looking back through my friends blog who is on her second round and seeing how things went for her in the beginning and she gave me a good idea and I hope nobody will mind. I am going to put the weight of each day, At first I was embarrassed but what the heck right?
So here is the summary:
Weight before loading (aka PIG OUT SESSIONS) 280.6
Weight after loading (3 days) 287.3 UGH!!!
Day 1 on 500 cal 285 -.2.3
Day 2 282.0 -3.0 total: 5.3
Day 3 278.8 -3.2 total: 8.5
Day 4 274.0 -4.8 total: 13.3
Day 5 271.4 -2.6 total: 15.6
Day 6 269.0 -2.4 total: 18.3
Day 7 269.0 -0 total : 18.3
So that brings me up to today and I will just post each day on that post to keep track from now on.
One of the other things I noticed was she always noted whether she kept within the 500 calories or not and her intake of water. So I hope to be able to keep better track because I know the reason I had such great results last week was from taking pop and energy drinks out of my diet.
I will have to look up some calorie content for the choices I have been making and see if they are within the 500 calories. I will post more about that tomorrow and as soon as I hit a loss of 20lbs I will be giving one of the my blog friends (followers just doesn't sound right to me! LOL) a Scentsy Surprise!

I LOVE Sundays!
Well this has been a good day! It started off with a -2.6 loss this morning and this is day 9 for me.
I actually woke up on my own and although it was 10:30 -- anyone who knows me knows I could easily sleep in til noon! So I don't know if it has anything to do with the diet or not but I am going to note any changes I see so I can compare them at the end of the phase.
No cheating in the past two days! I was tempted but not really, my good friends teach a class that we attend called THE FREEDOM PROJECT and they always have awesome treats for us but I just stayed out of the kitchen and took some crystal light with me. The other time I could of been tempted was when I made toast with peanut butter for Bob before I left for church--I LOVE PB!!! Just straight out the jar (on my own spoon of course!) Anyhow it is even better for some reason when it is all melted and yeah--I had to throw the knife in the sink right after I used it and get out of there! Then I forgot about it.....well until I went to church and took sacrament, the first bread I have had in a week--I have to say for a split second, I did think it would of been good with that PB on it!! LOL! But all is well.....I know the weight will come off more slowly this week but I am looking forward to getting into my jeans that I outgrew! Tired of sweats and one pair of jeans (that are red!)
I have to get my girl scout stuff together, I am a co-leader and we are doing GS Cookies right now and we meet tomorrow.
I did want to post that the thing I have found really good and I have eaten it everyday so far, mostly because I really do like it....is strawberry with chicken.
I cut up the 4 or 5 strawberries and put some stevia on top, then put lemon juice over it to bring the juices out. Earlier in the week I put some chicken breasts in the crock pot and just cooked them all at once so I could pull it out as I needed it. Anyhow, I shred it up and mix it with the strawberries and the juice and it is really good. Today I put it on top of a bed of lettuce and I am really full still and I ate it over 2 hours ago. That one's a keeper in my book!

I am so stoked!! Time to give away some SCENTSY!
Well I have officially lost the 7.5 pounds I gained during the loading days and have gone on to lose 5.8 additional pounds! Woohooo! I was so happy when I got on the scale because it was my biggest amount lost so far.....-4.8! I know most of it is water but I will take it!
I know it is supposed to slow down after the first week but I am okay with that. I am just excited to see the scale going down after all this time! Plus I have a friend that is getting married.... someday--this year! (LOL) and so I want to get a new dress.....so it has become one of my long term goals! Last time I saw my Utah friends I was 25 lbs lighter (well NOW only 15 lbs woo hoo!) so I will be happy to reach that goal!
My short term goal is to work on not cheating! I only have done it once but even today making breakfast I smelled the toast and saw butter and wanted it bad! I don't even usually add butter to my toast--go figure!
I am really excited that it has been almost a week without any coke or energy drinks! That in and of itself is amazing to me! And I have been pretty nice most days LOL! So, I have 6 people that are "following" my blog and I want to say thanks! So if each of you would leave me a comment with the scent of choice for a car candle--I will get them ordered and out to you! I appreciate all your support and friendship! As I reach more goals I will be giving more Scentsy out!
Take care!

I cheated! UGHHH! BUT I still Lost! Yeah!
This was supposed to be posted yesterday but Bob had had to be at the doctor for the past three days and I have been trying to keep up with everybody elses schedule as well so I am posting now.
So, I was surprised when I got on the scale in the morning and it registered a loss of 3lbs!! I was upset all night from cheating. I was putting out dinner for my family and it looked so good (shepherds pie) and it wasn't even as if I was hungry....I had eaten my dinner before just so I wouldn't be hungry but the gravy on the mashed potatoes looked so good! I thought I would just eat a bite and it was weird because I like seriously SHOVELED ten bites and hated every second of it! Then felt like crud for the rest of the night. I thought I would of gained for sure but I think because of water weight (? maybe) I still lost. I hope I can remember what it felt like next time I go to take a bite.....

WOW! It's been a rough couple days!
So, I wish I could remember in this brain of mine what happens when you suddenly tell your body NO MORE of the bad stuff! I am so jonesin for a coke it isn't even funny and I had a migraine yesterday that kept me in bed literally all day. The good news is....I have lost 5.3 lbs (I gained 6.7 during the LOAD phase) so that has made it worth it...almost LOL!! When I hit the weight I started at and then start losing I will be even happier!
I will say that it was a hard couple days....but if I think about all the crud that I have been putting into my body for the last 20 adult years what can I really expect! I don't really know of another time that I haven't put sugar into my body for over three days in a row...sad I know!
I will also remember for the next round that when I do the load days--I will remember to eat more fattening foods with less sugar...I know Val, you said that! LOL! But I am a newbie and it sounded so good that I could eat cheesecake and milkshakes! The load days are supposed to give your body the fuel to work with this first week while you go on the 500 calories. I hope to be past the worst of it and am feeling half way decent with just a residual headache at this point.
As if throwing my body into shock with a diet wasn't enough I also started something way harder if you can believe that! I started babysitting a girl in the mornings starting at 6:30! I am so not a morning person and my hubby takes our kids to seminary at 6....but the Lord knows how to prepare me...as Bob was injured on the job last week and can hardly walk at this point--he is going in for an MRI today. So I got to take them--lets just say I was wide awake for when she showed up!
Hoping you all have a great day!
